Building controls specialist named Medium sized Business of the Year

global associates has picked up yet another accolade after being named Medium Sized Business of the Year at the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA).

Returning for a 12th year, the awards are organised by the KM Media Group and Kent County Council.

Coming out on top in the highly competitive Medium Business of the Year category, global was recognised for its work to reduce its client’s energy usage whilst driving improvements in wellbeing. The judges were also impressed with the company’s commitment to R&D and its plan to increase investment in this area from 10% of annual revenue to 12% by 2023.

Paul Wetherfield, global associates CEO, commented: “This award is testament to the hard work and expertise shown by everyone at global during a challenging 18 months. Our focus on product development and customer service as well as our investment in bringing through the next generation of talent has put us in a strong position as the anticipated market recovery begins to gather pace.”

Geoff Miles, chairman of judges added: "These awards have always recognised adaptability and resourcefulness, and that has perhaps never been so called upon as it has in the wake of the pandemic. The judging process is, as always, thorough and so all those who made the shortlist for these keenly contested categories have demonstrated an excellence which impressed us all."
