BMS Sales & Estimating Manager


To support the company’s business growth plan in relation to; new and organic sales growth, marketing, media, events and associated reporting. To identify, develop and convert new and existing business opportunities in line with individual sales targets and business objectives.

The role requires someone with an exceptional customer service ethos, strong organisational and effective communications skills.  

  • Familiar with BMS terminology within multi manufacturer’s products, to include but not limited to Trend/Delta/Schneider/Centraline.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Ethos.
  • Exceptional Time Management & organisational and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer/target and deadline led environment.
  • Focus and attention to detail with intuitive initiative.
  • Self-motivated, responsible & accountable.
  • Technical Expertise in HVAC & BMS / Customer Service / Information Management.
  • Very able to converse at a technical level to all levels of customers regarding BMS Operation and sales proposals

 Key challenges are; understanding the client requirements, time-frames & drivers for change and communicating those within the business to ensue alignment with sales strategy, executive support/sponsorship and resource availability. A dynamic approach to ensure focus encompasses short, medium and long-term prospects in order to give continuity and visibility of sales pipeline.

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within particular market sectors and/or geographical regions in line with the business strategy
  • Sales pipeline development process: relationship development (ie Consultants and End Users), ‘route to market’ process management (PQQ, RFI, RFP, proposal, negotiated, existing accounts)
  • Sales Presentations
  • Co-ordinates support resources for sales process as well as significant direct contribution to the process in accordance with specified time-frames (operations, estimating, bid writing & other support functions)
  • Identifies and understands client’s specific key drivers and develops solutions for success, leveraging Global’s capabilities and USP’s (e.g. sector experience, coverage, technical capabilities)
  • Ensures internal governance is adhered to; management reporting & authorisation processes
  • Sales Closure - converts new business opportunities to contract awards
  • Produce monthly sales forecast reports on time to the Director
  • Balanced focus across sales process elements; pipeline development, formal processes (RFI / RFP), sales conversion, post-award & internal governance
  • Identifies & engages in industry forums & networking opportunities to strengthen market presence of the business
  • Provides continual feedback & guidance to local & wider business support and management functions – engages business at all levels
  • Works at a high level across a number of business and client functions.
  • Also responsible for the specific detail within the sales processes and generated outcomes (cost, documentation, presentation, handover)
  • Continual communication and interaction with leadership team.
  • Input all opportunities onto company’s SAS system
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary to support the business
