Instrument Technician - Closing date for applications 12:00 Friday 16th December 2005

Main duties will be to carry out the Regulatory and Routine calibrations of process instrumentation on various Pharmaceutical facilities based on one site.
The successful candidate must have completed a recognised time served apprenticeship and have a minimum qualification of an ONC level in instrumentation. They should have 10-15 years post apprenticeship experience with 5 years process instrument calibration experience. Ideally candidates will have experience in the pharmaceutical or allied industries. As well as carrying out the physical calibrations and relevant paperwork to an accurate and legible standard, the applicant must be able to repair and maintain a variety of instruments when required. A basic knowledge of IS (Intrinsically Safe) and process computer systems would be beneficial and therefore they must be computer literate.

Controls Engineer - Closing date for applications 12:00 Friday 16th December 2005

To work within the projects and service teams at Sittingbourne. Main responsibilities are:-

Projects
• Management of projects (up to £80K) • Design • Engineering • Commissioning • Client witnessing, demonstrations and training

Service
• Service calls • Telephone Support • Remote dial in response • On-site response • On call, out of hours including weekends with a shared rota

Applicants must have a minimum of an HNC or equivalent in Instrumentation, Control or a related discipline. They should have proven ability to plan, organise and monitor their own workloads and to manage small projects. They will have a good working knowledge of Trend systems including system design, commissioning and service.

An in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC plant would be a strong advantage.
Candidates must be prepared to work away occasionally. They will partake in the service team’s on-call rota which is shared between four engineers, each engineer being on call one week in four.
